Advances in CAD over the years have transformed it from a tool available only to very large corporations to a highly accessible approach to design and engineering. The emergence of scaled down CAD software, such as AutoCAD LT from Autodesk, makes it even easier for companies with limited budgets to incorporate this powerful system into their workflow.
AutoCAD LT is a scaled down version of the Auto CAD software, and serves as an excellent entry level option for CAD designers. AutoCAD LT features much of the same functionality as the full Auto CAD software, with the key difference being the lack of 3D modeling in the LT version. However, 3D designs created in the full version can be viewed in the LT version.
Computer aided design has paved the way towards better product design and engineering. CAD software allows for extreme precision without requiring much of the time-consuming manual effort that manual drafting requires.
Dataprint carries both the 2008 and 2009 versions of the AutoCAD LT software as well as upgrades for both. You’ll also find companion CAD software such as AutoDesk symbols, which allows users to customize AutoCAD LT for architectural, mechanical or electronic design and drafting.
